As I observe intricate patterns of tree branches, it reminds me of complexity of our microcosmic and macrocosmic world. Vivid liveliness of nature always teach us something very important, 'interconnectedness' of our beings. With deep awareness of this interconnectedness, there we can finally embrace peace and harmony with each other.
벤쿠버에서 지낼 때, 시간 날때마다 공원에 갔다. 벤쿠버는 한국과 달리 나무들이 대체로 굉장히 큼직큼직하고 두껍다. 하늘을 올려다보면 깨끗한 파란 하늘을 배경으로 아름다운 녹색 신경망처럼 나뭇가지들이 뻗어져 있다. 그러한 풍광을 보다보면 이러한 신경망들이 뻗쳐있는 것처럼 땅 위에 살고 있는 우리 모두가 연결된 것처럼 느껴진다. 우리가 사실 연결되어 있는 것을 알게 될때, 그제서야 진정한 평화와 하모니의 의미를 깨닫게 되는 것이 아닌가하는 생각이 드는 것이었다.
